Welcome to the Centre for Industrial Bulk Solids Handling
We are one of a few research centres and education providers in the area of Particulate Solids Handling. Our staff have over 20 years experience in the delivery of educational short courses and the trouble-shooting particulate solids handling problems, through consultancy with industry. Furthermore we also offer a Masters programme in Particulate Solids Handling that can be undertaken by Distance Learning that builds on this experience.
The Centre for Industrial Bulk Solids Handling is dedicated to providing solutions for companies and individuals wanting to improve their particulate solids handling processes and knowledge.
Our core activities
The Centre offers a range of services to industry, including bulk material characterisation, pneumatic conveying trials and on-site trouble-shooting. We are also highly research active, predominantly in the areas of pneumatic conveying and instrumentation for particulate solids handling plant. Both of these areas informs our MSc Particulate Solids Handling (Distance Learning).
